On January 1, 2012, the National Atheist Party embarked on a new campaign that would raise the political awareness of just how strong a voice atheist voters have, and how desperately it needs to be heard. This was the spark of the Question Campaign. The necessity of this campaign is vital during this election year; secular voters need to know which candidates support atheist voters, and how they plan to demonstrate their support. Therefore, this campaign’s mission was to ask as many politicians as possible one simple question, “How will you represent atheist voters?”

Restructure of National Atheist Party’s Executive Board

With the elections over and new board members, it became obvious that some restructuring would benefit the National Atheist Party. The Executive Board did some additional research into the 527 tax status, reviewed the organizational successes of the last year, and has looked to strengthen the organization for the future. The number of elected Executive Board positions is to increased by two. The voting positions will now be: President, Operations (VP), Outreach (VP), Policy & Strategy (VP), Public Relations & Marketing (VP), Secretary and Treasurer.
